GHCS utilizes MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) testing to measure academic growth throughout the school year in the areas of math, reading, and language usage. MAP testing offers several unique advantages over traditional testing methods. Taken online, the tests are adaptive, adjusting the difficulty of the questions based on the student’s most recent answers to more accurately gauge their understanding of the subject.

Unlike traditional testing methods, student test results are available immediately. This allows staff to quickly adjust their lesson plans according to the specific needs of their students in order to implement personalized learning goals that can be achieved within the school year.
